Dr Niharika Duggal, a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in the Centre for Musculoskeletal Ageing Research, presented her work on the impact of lifelong physical activity on immunosenescence at the British Society for Research into Ageing (BRSA) Annual Meeting in Exeter on 22 July 2017. Niharika was competing against 7 other candidates to win the Koranchevsky Prize. The standard was extremely high as ever, but Niharika gave an exceptional presentation and was voted the winner for 2017.

As the winner, Niharika will be funded to attend the 2018 American Ageing Association meeting in Philadelphia where she will present her work to an international audience.
Well done Niharika!
