Poster Prize for Centre-Funded PhD Student

Centre-funded PhD student Nick Kitchen recently won the best poster at the ‘Vision Leads to Action’ conference at the University of Birmingham. The poster entitled ‘Measuring Proprioceptive Acuity in the Upper Limb – Implications for Motor Recovery in an Ageing Population’ outlined how he has been working to develop a test to quantify the acuity of upper limb proprioception, with the hope that this test will help to identify how the loss of perception may contribute to upper motor impairments in the ageing population.

Nick exhibited his work along with competitors from a  range of different research themes and was announced as the winner when the conference came to a close.
