THIN Database Workshop

Primary care databases such as THIN (The Health Improvement Network), represent a rich source of information related to musculoskeletal diseases, associated comorbidities and lifestyle factors allowing a detailed study of disease trajectories and factors that modify them.

To facilitate analysis of the THIN database by researchers in the Centre for Musculoskeletal Ageing Research, we recently appointed a PDRA for a period of 12 months to address research questions posed by our centre members. We ran an information workshop on the 10th of January 2020 to introduce the THIN database and to allow CMAR members across all sites to find out more, develop their questions, and work with the PDRA to address them.
