Thirteen members of the MRC-Arthritis Research UK Centre for Musculoskeletal Ageing Research, not satisfied with just focusing their research on healthy ageing, are further supporting Arthritis Research UK by running the Great North Run in September.
Each member has their own reasons for running; some have first-hand experience of arthritis, some work with sufferers on a daily basis and all are involved in research into musculoskeletal ageing.
In terms of running ability, we have everything from beginners to veterans, all keen to do the best they can for the sake of the charity, be this just by running all the way, or by beating their PB’s.
